A Day At The Beach Limited Edition Archival Print

$1,300.00 USD
Sometime during the summer of love, Capitol Records and The Beach Boys’ mastermind publicist, Derek Taylor, organized an epic day trip to the picturesque Zuma Beach in Southern California. With the sun shining, waves crashing, and good vibes flowing, July 1, 1967 was a lighthearted affair that saw many Wilson family members, including Audree Wilson (mother of Brian, Carl, and Dennis, and Mike’s aunt), joining in on the fun.

With Ken Veeder and George Jerman from the Capitol photo department there to capture the day’s events, the shoot expertly captured a rare snapshot of friends lounging on the sand, reminiscing about life and love like they were still carefree kids.
Zuma Beach sits about nineteen miles west of Malibu, making it the perfect backdrop for a scene straight out of a summer dream. Some of these outtakes ended up on The Beach Boys’ Wild Honey album cover and on the never-released Lei’d In Hawaii live album that was recorded in August of the same year.

This limited edition print was created using a digital file that was processed through specialized software to ensure accurate color reproduction and other image enhancements, resulting in a high-quality print that is faithful to the original image. The specialized pigment-based inks used to produce this image are designed to resist fading and discoloration over time.

Printed on 100% Cotton Rag Platine 310gsm. Limited edition of 50 in each size (16"x20" or 20"x24"). Ships in an acid free in a protective shipping tube. Shipping is free in the continental US.
